Enlightened by the life of Sri Aurobindo, the celebrated Saint, and Philosopher, the very convent saw its first light in the year 1981. Being motivated by the contrivance of Shantiniketan, the very convent rests in the lap of nature and bathes in tranquility and placidness. There is coolness and cleanness of par excellence in and around the institution, on the one hand, one is sure to relish the great feast provided by the dancing waves of the pool while on the other hand, one’s ears are of course to be filled in with the sweet musicality produced by the chirping and twittering of myriads of tiny birds in the trees nearby. Away from the simultaneousness of the town, no filthiness and foul play are to be eyed there. The mild breeze fetches freshness to the pupils for the whole long school hours. The pious temple of Pagal Baba Ashram is not far away and its vicinity adds holiness to the place. The presence of a Sanitorium adjacent to the convent is an emblem of the healthiness of the place.
Keeping in mind the achievements of Convents, the convent not only aims at imparting simple education to the students but also nourishes the goal of inculcating high morality amongst them. The prime objective of the convent incurs to the morale-boosting of the pupils by providing them with a sound education. A group of scholar educationists makes tireless efforts to educate the students in the right direction and to tone up their character and personality development. Besides this, every care is taken to sow the healthy seeds of sagacity and piousness amongst them so that they may cherish the feelings of sainthood and sobriety.
The convent assembly needs a very special mention for it has got a pious purpose to serve, and save the prayer and incantations from the Vedas, the pupils are also preached to be lenient and benevolent to others nurturing the cosmopolitan view of universal – brotherhood. The quote of the day and news reading is the daily features of the convent. In recess hours, no student takes his fill-in unless he pronounces the sacred shloka – “Om Sahnavaktu….”
